The team’s good defence is thanks partly
to the outstanding individual defenders that
they have but also is a testament to the
great work that their coaching staff has done
creating a competent unit. Being so solid will
be particularly useful during the winter months
when conditions will make it difficult to play an
open style.
One of the standout features of the Canvey
Island set up is the superb social side to the
club and they have many members involved
purely because of this. The events that they put
on are always enjoyed by those involved and
they are keen to welcome any new members.
Having a good social side is crucial for any club
looking to maximise its potential.
The superb off the field facilities that the club
boasts also allows them to make the bar
available for hire for various events. This has
the potential to provide them with a valuable
source of additional revenue which can be
particularly important during the off-season
when they are unable to rely upon matchday
revenue but still have bills that need to be paid.
There is much to admire about the set up that
Canvey Island currently has in place. Hopefully
they will be able to keep up the good work that
they have been doing for many years to come
