STEADWARDS OLD BOYS
SOUTHEND
First established in 1870, Southend RFC play their home games at Warners Bridge Park on
Sumpters Way and their first team currently competes in the National League 2 South. They are
led by the team of Chairman David Ridler and President Gerald Brigg and the club is looking to
progress under their guidance.
It would be fair to say that their
first team has not got off to
the start that they would have
liked this time around, having
compiled a record of 1 win and
4 defeats from their opening 5
matches. This sees them sitting
in the bottom half of the table
with 7 points on the board.
There is still plenty of the season
left to go however and a couple
of good results would quickly
help them to turn it around. As
long as they are able to retain
their current group of players
and perhaps make one or two
quality additions they should be
able to climb the table.
