MORLEY MORLEY After a successful summer of training camps, trophy wins and preseason training, Morley RFC upgrade for better sponsors, a high profile website and the videoing of matches. Morley RFC offers a wide range of teams for all ages; seniors, juniors and midi/mini teams. Meaning that no matter what your age, there will be a team for you. As of recently, Morley RFC have introduced a new feature to their website. The videoing of players in matches acts as a prominent feature on their website. This makes it viable for players to see which areas they can improve in, viewing for parents who were unable to attend the match and even for scouts to spot key players for regional and national teams. The new sponsors at Morley RFC are Ravenheat and Morley Chamber of Trade and Commerce. Long standing sponsors include Thwaites, Beaumont and Aviva. As part of their sponsorship, Aviva TV features on Morley RFC website which means that rugby fanatics can keep up with the latest rugby news on their regional site. Not only does this club offer a wide range of rugby teams, but also poses as a venue for alternate events. The club room is able to be hired out for birthdays, wedding celebrations as well as fundraiser events. Such as the Beer Festival which took place 22-24 August. This event provided live music, food and a wide range of ciders and real ales. This not only brings the rugby community together but also provides socialisation and allows the raising of funds for Morley RFC to improve the club house and other facilities in and around the pitches. Other clubs have taken on innovative ways to raise money to improve clubs are being suggested. So far Firwood Waterloo Rugby have raised £80 in a very short period of time, so in essence the more money you raise the better the club becomes. Clubs aim to improve their experience in all aspects and by attending club events you help them do so. It is clear that Morley RFC aim to create a high profile team from the professionalism of their web page, sponsors and up and coming tournaments to advertise their players and win trophies for Morley.
