ST.AUSTELL Although disappointing as a whole, there have been some positives to take from St Austell’s early fixtures. One of these has been the fact that the team has been defending reasonably well which is reflected in the fact that they have a better record than many of the teams around them. Having a good defence is important for any team that is looking to be successful as it gives a side the ability to grind out results even when they are not playing at their best. This will be particularly valuable during the winter months when conditions can make it difficult to play an open game. Although St Austell would have liked to have started the season with a couple of extra wins, this should not take away from the good work that has been getting done at the club. Hopefully they will be able to continue in the same manner for many years to come and Rugby Club Magazine would like to wish them the best of luck. STSW have been privileged to have arranged many tours for the Saints youth, junior and mini sections. Our touring groups are always assured a warm and hospitable welcome at Tregorrick Park.
