The club initially played at the Henderson school playing fields under the captaincy of Glen Carter with The Lord Nelson Pub acting as their clubhouse. Over the years the new club developed well and began to reach their full potential, making the move to permanent facilities in 1975. They acquired the ‘Britannia Hut’ from a local army barracks as changing facilities and begun building a new clubhouse in 1980. The bar was the first thing to be constructed! The club and Rugby Union in Norfolk as a whole received a major boost over the summer when they were chosen to be a recipient of a Transforming Social Spaces Grant for the 2015 World Cup which is of course due to be staged in England and Wales. The grant will be used to improve their social facilities and to provide a facility to be used by the local community. Speaking to the club’s official website after the award, Club Chairman, Pete Blinkhorn said, “We are delighted that our project has been chosen as a recipient for a Transforming Social Spaces Grant. We will now have some of the best facilities in the area that local people from Norwich, Hethersett & Little Melton can use. The 2015 Rugby World Cup will inspire a new wave of people of all ages to
