with the potential to do just that. It will certainly
be exciting to watch how these players are
able to develop their game in the coming
years.
It can be hard for young players to make
the transition into the senior game and
many players drop out of rugby at this point.
Midsomer Norton takes every step possible to
try and prevent this from happening and have
a number of additional senior sides in place.
This enables the club to offer young players a
chance to gain experience of playing 1st team
action even if they are not yet considered
ready for first team action.
Another benefit of having more than one senior
side in place is that it allows more players
from the local area to play the game. As a club
which is committed to playing an important
role in the local community Midsomer Norton
makes every effort to account for players of
various abilities.
Although the club’s results have not been as
good as they would have liked, this should not
take away from the good work that they have
been doing. If this continues, their on the field
results are sure to improve and Rugby Club
Magazine would like to wish them the best of
luck for the rest of the season.
