TEWKESBURY We have a fantastic club house and pitch/ training area but because of the growth of our junior setup (The Tigers) which is led by Adrian Bishop and Pete Healey we need new changing rooms also our women’s XV has just celebrated 20 years since forming which my wife is still heavily involved in and used to play. We cover the age groups form under 7’s through to under 17’s both boys and girls. We also run a veteran’s XV who have twice won the International Tournament De Papy’s in Dieppe, the main victory being in 2008 when the tournament was dedicated to Bram and Chris. The sad point in the clubs history occurred on the 25th July 2007 when the clubs changing rooms and cellar flooded and the then club secretary and his son Bram and Chris Lane died whilst trying to pump the flood water from the cellar. Bram was “Mr Tewkesbury RFC” he did almost everything. 94 ISSUE 48 “We are pushing the club forward within the local community and striving to be the best in our area.”
