LEIGH CENTURIONS
new community foundation and is looking to
use 32 years’ experience to ensure that it is a
success.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Barton
said, “I’m very excited about the community
foundation and now is the right time to take it
forward. We’re hoping to inspire children and
other community groups and clubs and I want
to continue in the same vein as when I was
CEO.
We will be focusing on schools and young
people and using the club’s good name to
inspire people in the community. The World
Cup is approaching and we’re also keen to
develop the player pathway and promote
employment opportunities for past and
present players.”
Leigh Centurions is clearly a club with a
superb set-up both on and off the field of play
and this is reflected by the terrific campaign
that they are having at present. They appear
to have everything in place to allow them to
continue to be successful over the coming
years and it seems like an exciting time to be
involved with the club. Everyone at Rugby
Club Magazine would like to wish them the
best of luck for the rest of the season.
