First established in 1953, Exeter Saracens RFC celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2013 to
mark the tremendous longevity achieved by the club. They are based in Exhibition Fields
behind Exeter Arena and their first team currently competes in the Devon and Cornwall
League.
They are led by the team of Chairman David
McIlory and President Kevin Ricketts and are
looking to progress under their guidance. Ricketts
states on the club’s official website that, “As a
club we pride ourselves on being a very sociable
and family friendly club open to all and we look
forward to welcoming new players, members, our
opposition and guests.”
The club’s first team did not perhaps enjoy the
season that they would have liked this time
around, having put together a record of 7 wins,
1 draw and 16 defeats. This saw them finish with
41 points in a position close to the bottom of the
table.
They will now be keen to have a positive offseason in order to ensure that they are able to
enjoy a more successful campaign next time
