Portsmouth victories having claimed glory in the two previous events. There will be a number of teams looking to take the title from them however from across the Naval Service set-up. It promises to be a terrific contest and it will certainly be interesting to see who is able to emerge victorious. RNRL are committed to providing people looking to get into the game with an opportunity to play Rugby League and do a great job in this regard. They are focused on giving players the chance to develop their skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. With this is mind they have an academy in place and they are confident that they have a number of players currently involved who can go on to achieve plenty of success. It will be exciting to watch how they are able to develop as they aim to reach their full potential. There is much to admire about the work that the RNRL has done since it was first formed and this is thanks to the effort that has been put into them. Hopefully they will be able to continue in the same manner for many years to come and Rugby Club Magazine would like to wish them the best of luck for the future. Portsmouth Portsmouth RFC is based on Norway Road in Hampshire and their first team currently competes in the London 2 SouthWest Division. They are led by the team of President Dr Peter Golding and Chairman Dr Ed Neville and the club is looking to progress under their guidance. It would be fair to suggest that their first team did not perhaps enjoy the season that they would have liked this time around, having put together a record of having won 7, drawn 1 and lost 14 of their 22 league matches. This saw them finish in the bottom half of the table with 38 points. The campaign was not without positives however and the team showed glimpses of the potential that they have. They will be looking to become more consistent next time out and so long as they are able to make one or two quality additions to their current squad they should be able to secure a higher league finish. season, this should not take away from the good work that they do.
