uk4u Thanks! is an established charity, looking to work alongside reputable companies as sponsors and members of the public as
supporters who want to make a difference to the lives of our Servicemen and Servicewomen.
What do we do?
uk4u Thanks! sends gifts to our troops; our mission is to deliver festive cheer to our Armed Forces risking their lives on our behalf
at Christmas. The charity is managed by an experienced team of Trustees and a Fundraising and Projects Manager, all of whom
have served or have close links with the Armed Forces. Since forming in 2005, uk4u has delivered over 200,000 Christmas boxes,
which include a variety of both fun and useful gifts. 2014 marks the centenary of sending ‘a gift from the nation’ as started by
Princess Mary in 1914, a tradition we are keen to uphold.
Who supports us?
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) works with the uk4u Team to assist with the annual
launch, the complex task of timely distribution, and in ensuring that items are
refreshed to reflect comments from recipients. In return, the charity indirectly
supports the MOD as a nominated charity, to reduce unsolicited mail sent over the
Christmas period. His Grace, The Duke of Westminster, enthusiastically accepted the
role of Patron and he is a keen supporter, hosting the annual launch, which attracts
the attention of the national media.

How does uk4u Thanks! differ from other military charities?
We deliver a tangible product to thank all those who are deployed on operations
and away from their families and loved ones on Christmas Day, whether serving in
the Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force. The gifts are a great boost to morale; the
box itself is hugely popular and is ideal for storing photographs, medals and
transforms into a ‘memory box’. Our Service personnel are always delighted to receive the ‘Square Stocking’
and have sent lovely messages of thanks:
