We try to be as much a part of the city as we can, and regularly host local games at the Rec – such as the Combination Cup finals, the Bath Minis festival, and the varsity games held between the local universities. We are very much focused on our proposals to provide a world-class sporting, community and cultural venue at The Rec. We also have a very active Community department who work tirelessly with local schools and clubs helping to get more children into rugby, and Bath Rugby Foundation, the Club’s charity, who has just celebrated their 10th anniversary, use sport to impact on the lives of young people and children in the local community who most need it.” This Season “At the time of writing, we have one game of the regular season left. Hopefully from that we will qualify for the Aviva Premiership Play-offs, and then from there - fingers crossed - we can make the final! We also have the Amlin Challenge Cup final against Northampton in a few weeks, so we’ll be aiming to bring some silverware back to the Rec!” 14 ISSUE 45 We hope to put in a planning application which will not only renovate the aged facilities at the Rec, but also the whole riverside, making it much more fitting with the beautiful World Heritage City of Bath and something the City can be proud of.
