from much larger towns and cities, such as Stoke,
Walsall and Lichfield, plus quite a few from the
Coventry area. He feels that there is one element
currently missing – a ladies side. “A few years ago
we had the Malvern Angels, who were unbeaten
and dominated in the Midlands for a few years,
however many moved out of the area and the side
folded. It would be great to get another ladies
team going.”
The game is in a healthy state in South
Worcestershire and with the prospect of more
home grown players on the horizon, Malvern
RFC are looking forward to a bright and exciting
future.
