DIY enrichment Get

While animals are in our care at West
Hatch we try to help them get and stay
fit, healthy and stress-free in all sorts of
different ways.
One approach that is invaluable to
wellbeing is the provision of toys and
enrichment. Such items can offer
opportunities to play, think, exercise
and have fun all at the same time.
Staff at the centre do their best to create
a range of interactive items that animals
can use, but of course variety can be key
in keeping things interesting and so this is
where we hope our supporters can lend
a hand. If you have some spare time and
some spare shoe boxes and loo roll tubes
why not help us out by making toys for
the dogs and cats at the centre?
The photos show some simple destruction
box designs for dogs and tube play feeders
for cats but you can get as creative as
you like.
