have recently taken part in New investigators from RPDI , where I was learning the best practices of investigative work in the editorial office of BIHUS . info . Training , business trips , work with registers and texts : 4-month internship turned out to be real training , almost like a young fighter course for journalists . After finishing the program I came back to Dnipro and together with peers initiated a media project Na Hachku ( On the Hook ). We expose corruption schemes of local officials and politicians , monitor purchases and declarations . We started in March , but because of one of our publications , the prosecutor ’ s office and the Security Service of Ukraine have already opened a criminal case and conducted searches in the City Council .»

New investigators at BIHUS . info were 4 months during which we had to go on business trips to Khmelnytsky and Vinnytsia regions , spend several hundreds of hours in a car , while waiting for the investigation subjects , look through more than a hundred documents , visit about a dozen trainings and live in a frantic pace . I have learned to work with registers that I hadn ’ t even heard of before New investigators , and thanks to the mentor ’ s efforts I finally stopped being afraid of the camera .»
