Centreboard Sunday Racing
All dinghy( OTB) classes are welcome to join in Centreboard Sunday racing. The Centreboard Dinghy Division fosters an active, family-focused community where parents, youth and kids can race together, and non-sailing family members can participate on the water by volunteering for race management duties on a rostered weekly basis.
Racing at the Club takes place most Sundays throughout the summer, with the Winter Regatta held 1 or 2 times a month.
Single-handed classes include International Optimist, ILCA Laser Classes, Moths and Waszp, Finn’ s and Aero’ s. Multi-crew classes such as Manly Junior, Flying 11, Flying Ant, 29er, Pacers, Hobie Waves, F16 / F18, and other Multihulls help develop teamwork and advanced sailing skills.
The Club’ s structured class progression allows for a seamless transition into dinghy and keelboat sailing in later life. Training programs are designed so children can start sailing from as young as 7 years old and enjoy a lifetime of sailing experiences.
