ANNUAL YACHTING PROGRAM
Wednesday Series
• The Wednesday Series features seasonal race Series held every Wednesday afternoon throughout the year. These races are fun, social and attract a wide variety of yacht designs.
• Racing is conducted in Non-Spinnaker format, around‘ the cans’( fixed and / or laid marks) inshore on Pittwater.
• Race start time: From 1400hrs.
SUMMER PROGRAM
Tuesday Women’ s Twilight Series
• Held over the Spring and Summer months to make the most of the lasting daylight, the Women’ s Twilight Series is fun, social and offers Spinnaker or Non-Spinnaker options. Races are held on alternate Tuesday evenings.
• Each yacht may include one male crew member per boat( 2 if the yacht is over 40’), but they are not permitted to helm during the race.
• After the race, crews often enjoy dinner in Halyard’ s Bistro with fellow sailors and guests, followed by the evening’ s prize presentation.
• Racing is conducted in Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker formats,‘ around the cans’ inshore on Pittwater.
• Race start time: from 1755hrs
Thursday Twilight Series
• The Thursday Twilight Series runs over Spring and Summer, providing a fun and social racing environment suitable for all sailing abilities.
• After the race, crews return to Halyards Bistro for dinner, camaraderie and great weekly prizes.
• Racing is Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker format‘ around the cans’ inshore on Pittwater.
• Race start time: from 1755hrs. Saturday Series
• Held over Spring and Summer, the Saturday Series schedules 1 to 2 races each month and caters to all types of keelboats, offering a range of handicap scoring options.
• Racing includes Spinnaker and Non‐Spinnaker formats‘ around the cans’ inshore on Pittwater.
• Race start time: from 1330hrs.
Sprint Saturday Windward / Leeward Series for Sportsboats and One Design Classes
• Up to four short windward / leeward races per round, held on Saturdays inshore on Pittwater. One round is scheduled each month. This series suits both experienced sailors and those who are new to regatta-style racing.
