• “ Zero to Hero Bike Busters ” performing an array of activities , including the rolling of quadbikes , chariot-racing and pit-bike jousting .
• “ Horse Power through the Ages ”, where cars from 1904 to 1990 will compete against the all-natural power of the horse .
• South Africa ’ s Strongest Man .
• The return of the Karkloof Canopy Zipline , as well as the province ’ s largest funfair .
The Royal Show also hosts KZN ’ s largest display of construction and materials handling equipment , complementing a broad mix of over 400 commercial , industrial and service-sector exhibits .
As is traditional , the Show will include a meaningful presence of cattle , sheep , goats , rabbits and birds , which appeal not only to those directly involved in agriculture , but to the public at large .
In this regard , the sheep and cattle expos as well as the Dairy Parlour are focused on providing “ city folk ” with displays and interactive demonstrations intended to impart information and satisfy curiosity .
In particular , The Mercury Hall of Fine Living will be hosting a food and culinary display , focused on the food chain from production to consumption . This exhibit , with the presence of bluechip operators along the lines of Dube TradePort and others , promises to be worth a special visit .
Events of this type would not take place without the support of numerous volunteers and sponsorship from the business sector , and here I would especially like to acknowledge with appreciation our partnership with ABI and the Land Bank .
For an informative , educational and fun-filled adventure , the 2016 Royal Show won ’ t disappoint . We look forward to welcoming you .
