LOTUS FM CONCER
THE Lotus FM concert this year promises exciting entertainment for all lovers of Bollywood and Bhangra.
Veteran show producer Pinky Mothie and Big M Productions have gathered a range
of top musicians, vocalists and dancers to wow the crowds at the Showgrounds when
they bring Bollywood Nite to Pietermaritzburg on the evening of Saturday, June 4 from
5.15 pm. A Bhangra bash will follow the Bollywood Nite extravaganza, with Lotus FM deejays performing live for the crowds.
Stars in the Bollywood Nite lineup include South African nightingale Mona Maharaj
from Johannesburg; the ever-popular legend with the voice of Kishore Kumar — Suresh
Nathoo; as well as KwaZulu-Natal’s own Pravesh Sunker, who is guaranteed to take the
crowd by storm.
Mothie said that the trio has
a surprise in store for the Royal
Show audience too.
“The music backing for the artists will be provided by top Bollywood showband, The Music Maestros,” she announced.
International singers Rajesh
Kumar and Shaanie Zeeshan are
star attractions at the Lotus FM
concert this year, performing
popular golden oldies and Bollywood songs, while Bollywood dance
sensation Shiksha Singh is billed to appear with professional Kathak and Bharathnatyam dancers, the Kumarie Shikshas
Classical Dance Group.
The Bollywood Nite performance culminates in the high-energy, electrifying dancers
of the Afrofusion Cast with “King of Entertainment”, Rajiv Mothie.
The night is rounded off by the Lotus FM
Bhangra, with live deejays bringing the beats.
