magazine which could enlighten people from all around
the world about the treasures that can be found in this
small Himalayan country. To satisfy this urge, I established
a travel magazine: Royal Mountain Travel Nepal, which has
so far in its first three issues, gone far to cover stories from
Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. Printing 3,000 copies each time,
it has been a marvellous journey of four years. However,
from this year, we have decided to change the name of
the magazine to Inside Himalayas.

William Shakespeare has been quoted as saying: “What’s
in a name?” But what we are trying to do here is to put our
focus on the Himalayan ranges and its civilization. Inside
Himalayas will seek to provide as much information as
possible to readers and travel agents on Nepal, Tibet, and
Bhutan. Gradually we shall add other Himalayan countries
too. Inside Himalayas aims to be a complete travel guide
mentioning the actual dates and months of festivals,
places to visit and stay and give up-to-date information
on the recommendations from the experts.
On a personal note, I would like to offer my warmest
welcome to readers around the world from the lap of
the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. I find myself extremely
lucky, along with millions of other people who were born
here, that we can experience the dancing breezes that
come off the Himalayas, and have the opportunity to be
able to explore the various foothills of these beautiful
mountains. There are still many unseen areas, unique
vegetation, culture and old traditions, adventure activities,
and trekking and mountaineering routes in this mighty
Himalayan range.
As a result, to understand and appreciate every tiny
detail about the Himalayas, there was burning inside
me a sort of hunger that kept nagging at me until it was
transformed into an enormous passion to set up a travel
We are also on the verge of launching Inside Himalayas
a mobile application for instant information about the
Himalayan countries: weather updates, upcoming events,
changes in rules and regulations for international guests,
news, and blogs about the experience of people from the
region.
Hence, the focus of the Inside Himalayas travel magazine
is on mountains and trekking. It will continue as Royal
Mountain’s travel magazine as before, with its commitment
to sustainable tourism, seen particularly in its support for
homestay and community tourism in areas like Chitwan,
Panauti, and Nuwakot.
