Where Quaggafontein and Vaalfontein are two neighbouring properties that were once sheep farms. They’ re about 30km southeast of Stonehenge Private Reserve, below Skoorsteenberg Mountain, and you get there by turning onto the R354 from the R355 and heading east. dramatic temperature shifts of the desert. The land falls within the Western Cape and is split into two very distinct areas: one with high biodiversity and sensitive plant and animal life, which will stay offlimits, and another, more degraded section that works well as the event site.
The drive itself is part of the experience: long gravel roads, vast open plains, and mountain silhouettes that feel almost lunar.
