Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary: pink in the desert Yes, flamingos – in the middle of a desert city. The wetland reserve sits just outside downtown, with viewing platforms where binoculars become essential. Entry is free, the flocks are Instagram-ready, and the calm is a gift after a day of neon.
Foodie adventures without the bill shock Arabian Tea House(@ arabianteahouse) Turquoise benches, leafy, shaded courtyards, the smell of fresh bread. Generous platters of Emirati classics arrive, meant to be shared and priced to please. It’ s an easy entry into the local food scene without scaring picky eaters. Mirzam Chocolate Makers(@ mirzamchocolate) Kids press their noses against glass to watch cocoa beans roast. Parents hover for samples. Everyone leaves with a bar or two, proving indulgence doesn’ t need a fine-dining budget.
