7 Pillars of Success

The Roger S. Good Cancer Treatment Center will be under-going major changes in the coming months thanks in large part to the upcoming update of the facility's current Linear Accelerator.

Due to frequent down times and our current Siemens' system's age the Cancer Center was due for an update. Crystal Davis explored the facilities options for a new unit and identified the Elekta Linear Accelerator as the right fit for our organization.

The Elekta Linac is the latest in radiation technology and places Sierra View at the forefront of Cancer Treatment. More importantly the system also comes with the Mosaiq electronic health record system which would enable the cancer center to meet meaningful use requirements

and bring radiation and oncology treatmeants online and integrated with the hospital's systems.

To ensure continuity of care,

Davis and Kobaly worked diligently exploring every opportunity to minimize patient care interruption. Their efforts resulted in an ambitious and patient centered plan to build a second vault.

This new addition will

and reducing equipment

downtime.

In addition to updating our Linac, Sierra View will be giving the Cancer Center a facelift and adjusting patient flow. This will not only bring the center in and brand it as a part or our organization, but will also improve patient satisfaction and comfort. Darden Architects are finalizing the plans for submission to the city.
