s we reach the home straight of 2014, and the year draws to a close, we at RTB got together and had a business meeting with a difference. We downed the normal tools of our trade such as laptops, telephones and a variety of other technical devices and brainstormed the possible outcomes of this wonderful world we are so readily destroying.

Some are of the opinion that good always prevails, I'm one of them, whereas others feel that we have taken the degradation of the earth past its critical hiatus for there to be an easy return. Others suggest that we need the negative to allow for the proper formation of the positive and others simply say, "Let nature take it's course."

My gut feel is that nature will take its course, but the effects of the severity of that transition will be determined by how we as the human race decide to move forward. As things currently stand, with our ever-increasing consumption of natural resources, our children will inherit a ravaged and desolate landscape.

So, what is the solution to this problem? Some in the group say that the world is awakening to how the elite 1%ers have controlled the masses through fear-based media, the promotion of war that fills their coffers with blood money and various other scare tactics designed to keep the populous incarcerated in fear.

Others in the group suggest that when the earth reaches a critical state it will react through natural disasters to rid itself of the human infection, and yet others suggest that we need to go through this elevated state of negativity to re-emerge like a phoenix, reborn from the ashes. I quite like the idea of the legend of the phoenix rising again from the ashes because it has a certain fairytale appeal to it, but still, deep down, I wonder what will become of those 1%ers who have so intricately duped us for so many centuries. There is even talk of help from an extra-terrestial source, if we can be trusted with the technology they have to offer ... that is of course, if you believe in the existence of other life forms in the cosmos.

We are all in agreement that, right now, with the current negative energies controlling the earth, no extra-terrestial help will be forthcoming because we cannot be trusted to use their technology in a responsible manner. Come what may, changes are cetainly afoot and the resounding feeling within our non-business meeting was "bring it on, we welcome the change".

Thanks must go to Rob Macintosh for his wonderful paintings which appear on the cover and within the magazine. Also, many thanks to Chris Krog for his fantastic wildlife photography. Have a look at the doves he photographed from page 28 and there you will see the essence of beauty, something that resonates with everyone on some level or other. Maybe it's because the dove symbolises the peace that most humans instinctively resonate towards in their hearts.

Many thanks to Anciilla Delicia our culinary expert who provides the mouth-watering recipes and let's not forget Vusi Mulambo, our motoring maniac, who pulls no punches and rattles a few rev counters along the way.

That's all from the stall. See you in November.
