Your Club At Work
The first of a number of working bees took place on 3rd of August refurbishing Caroline Cottage at Wyong to house the headquarters of the Iris Foundation and provide administrative and counselling spaces. This working bee concentrated on gutting much of the original internal structure, removal of old floor coverings and preparation for painting. The team was ably led by Ossie Moore, who possibly regrets letting Past President Torin loose with the hammer and pinch bar. An amazing amount was accomplished in a few short hours. The next time we will be able to begin the painting and it should not be long before the building is ready for the great work of the Iris Foundation to continue in its new home.
The Iris Foundation is for the prevention of suicide. Primarily focused on young people and their families on the Central Coast of New South Wales, but does not exclude any individuals identified as at risk.
