To all Rotary members of District 9685 an invitation
Studio 10 is a fresh new morning television show recorded at Network 10 and we are offering complimentary
tickets to all Rotary members to attend.
The show is recorded live every weekday and audience members are required to arrive by 8am and the show
finishes up just before 12noon with a sausage sizzle served right after.
We also offer tea, coffee, biscuits and refreshments throughout the show but the big thing is that there are frequent prizes and give aways on the show.
I hope to hear from you soon regarding the tickets for this show and I hope we can build a good connection
with your members. Please feel free to forward the (attached) invite to your members.
Ita Buttrose, Jessica Rowe, Joe Hildebrandt wait to see you!
Kind Regards,
Lenny Fung

Another origin of common sayings
Show A Leg
This curt instruction to wake up and get out of bed originated, like so many of our colourful phrases, in the
navy.
In the old days, apparently, sailors were sometimes allowed to have their wives or sweethearts on board. When
work started in the morning, the sailors were all expected to report for duty on deck, but the women could
sleep late. The boatswain's mate, during his rounds of inspection, would often come across hammocks or bunks
still occupied after the morning turnout, and in order to make sure that the sleeping figure was a woman rather
than a workshy sailor, would call out the order 'Show a leg!' or sometimes 'Shake a leg!' If a female ankle
emerged from under the bedclothes, the sleeper was left in peace.
