EDITOR’S NOTE.
Learn, unlearn and relearn!
I was recently reluctantly introduced to a fancy and amazing game- The
Tower of Hanoi- which involves the movement of unevenly shaped disks
over three rods. The reluctance was apparently because the game is
for mathematicians and I was not one. Imagine! So I guess I am now a
mathematician. I know you are wondering how this is important. This game
is the best example of creative destruction, in other wards explaining that
we need to constantly dismantle what we have built in order to successfully
solve the puzzle. I recommend the game to everyone.

There is not so much to lose during youth, in fact, there is so much to win
and achieve, so much to fight for and so much to change as long as you
are backed by the right people and crowd. That is why youth service is
fundamental to everything we do because the youth are vibrant, energetic
and come with new ways of doing things which should ideally interest
everyone. We empower ourselves every time and every day we accept
responsibility for the things we act on and learn from past experiences.
We should always ask ourselves if what we do benefits our communities
and the less privileged, whether we inspire the people around us and what
more we can do to inspire the people around us. We need to network
and collaborate with those more experienced than us in order to have
meaningfully youth service.
The need to empower youth for a better tomorrow is connected both,
to the financial elevation as well as improved standard of living which
should be aimed at developing a wholesome outlook of life. Awareness
and adaptation is a key factor for this empowerment. The youth should be
dynamic in order to harness their full potential. In the words of Darwin, it
is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent. It
is the one that is the most adaptable to change.
In today’s day and age, young minds should have access to resources to
transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes.
They should be mentored by individuals that believe in their potential and
this is one of the ways we can harness and improve on their abilities which
will in turn transform our societies, only then can we believe in making our
nation “shine”, even in times of adversity.
Be the Inspiration!
