AWAKE UP TRILOGY The cold breeze hits you hard so you wish to cover more but the hummingbirds sounds prick inches of locomotion in the body. With your temple still pounds of weight to lift off the pillow, then the creaking sound erodes the ears by unapologetic rooster trying to propel the eyebrows lift with squinting eyes. Before you realize it, the wakeup alarm goes off like charged nuclear explosion causing a sporadic intensity in your veins. That terrible noise derives you into a retrospective notion that the sun is rising. Shortly your sight is crystal clear, you realize it’s already morning and the new day has commenced. BY Adam Mahmood Rotaract Club of Kololo YOUR DEEDS, FOREVER YOUR MONU M ENTS. Who are we, what kind of people are we, what kind of person am I? is the kind of question we should be asking ourselves every day. Courage, kindness, friendship, character are the qualities that define us as human beings and propel us to greatness. But how do we measure greatness for there’s no yardstick to this kind of thing. Greatness lies not in being strong, but in the right use of strength. He is the greatest whose strength carries up the most of hearts, which only means we should be remembered for the things we do, the things we do are the most important of all, more important than what we say or look like. The things we do outlast our mortality, like monuments built to honor he- roes after they’ve died only, instead of being made of stone, we build these with memories people have of us. That’s why your deeds are like your monuments, build them with great memories instead of stone. Your deeds are who you are. Irene .N. Senteza. Rotaract Club of Kololo ROTAMIRROR March Issue 2019 7
