Being in Rotaract and part of Rotary

Don’t spend carelessly. Please! I repeat, don’t spend carelessly
just because Rotary says you must give. There is no shame or
pain in saying no sometimes or not being able to give. After all
it comes from the heart to genuinely give back. Family, personal
welfare and work obligations remain important even when you
are in Rotaract or Rotary so have a real life outside Rotary.
Make friends not partners in crime. Rotaract is not a battle
ground. Leave that drama in your personal life, work or family.
Rotaract is bigger than you and me, probably even itself. I often
see drama unfold in Rotaract circles and I wonder if we often
forget what service is all about. Again let’s remain true to the
cause of impacting our communities through genuine and
meaningful interactions.
Let’s be accountable in the small things and big things.
Meaningful interactions go as far as mutual understandings
between Rotaract clubs and their mother clubs/ sponsoring
clubs, corporate sponsors and supporting Rotaract clubs. This
here is the essence of crafting and implementing impactful
service projects. Often Rotaract clubs fail to account to key
entities involved in their club activities or projects. Why this is? I
too ask myself often.
Yes, we join Rotaract to serve while
having a lot of fun and networking but

we make meaningful interactions. With
