The Rotaract Club of Kololo has closed 2018 in style, first by engaging in their annual
project and finally with a Secret Santa get-together. The Warriors, who gave back to

reiterated the need for having projects that can have a real impact on the societies in
which various Rotaract Clubs operate. “As someone who loves to read books, I cannot
imagine a world in which I will be unable to read. This is why we chose Literacy as the
main theme of our project as we end 2018,” Nairuba said.
The Club broke ground for the construction of a new classroom block at Kabahinga
primary School and painted several chalkboards as well. Breaking down the project into
various literacy aspects such as health literacy which was conducted through a health
camp, Legal Education and Skills based literacy which saw the Club partner with the
Rotaract Club of Kabale to teach the rural female population how to make table mats
and bottle decorations among others. The Club members also took 15 desks to the
schools, which were received by the school headmaster.

new members who joined the Club in July, 2018.

the oldest traditions to celebrate and have fun,” said Club Secretary Maria Rubaihayo.
