What Should We Expect This Year?

According to Allen, “The girls are going to have a lot to deal with this season.” An entire summer has gone by since it was revealed that not only was Mona “A,” but she most likely wasn’t working alone. Harding indicated that while it might seem like things should be settling down, in fact, the stakes have been raised. “It’s not like you could get kicked out of school,” he said, referring to the on-going threat the girls face. “It’s like you could lose your life.”

What Should We Expect From the Guys?

“Toby is going to start to understand more,” Allen said. Going on to talk about his character, he promises that we will start to see him change. He will continue to grow and have a full character arc. “Toby,” he went on, “is the most trustworthy character.” Allen laughed, “I would trust him.”

As for Ezra, Harding was happy to report that he will get to interact more with the other characters this year. He will also be more aware of A’s machinations and how they affect Aria. “Two people are dead,” he joked. “I can’t suddenly be like, ‘why are you stressed all the time?’” He also said that Ezra will be looking for a job, and will possibly find employment that puts him in close contact with other characters.

And What About Romance?

Spencer/Toby (or, if you prefer, “Spoby”) fans will be happy. Allen assured us that they’re going strong. “But,” he added, “of course nothing is ever perfect in Rosewood.”

As for Ezra and Aria, Harding would only say, “Aria and Ezra have an adult relationship now, with adult problems.” When asked what those adult problems were, he clarified, “There will be complications with other people, but not necessarily another woman.” When pressed even further, Harding admitted that things will be tense between Ezra and Aria’s father, Byron, but that he and her mother have a situation that he would only describe as “cool.”

Everyone Wants To Know About ‘A’

The guys were understandably tight-lipped with any unknown tidbits about A’s identity, but when asked about whether one of the four girls could be part of what has been dubbed the A-Team, Harding said he could feasibly see one of the girls being A, but that it would be very difficult to make that happen. “It’s a web,” Harding said mysteriously. “Everything is connected.”

Getting any secrets about season 3 out of the boys of Pretty Little Liars was harder than getting A to give up her real identity! I guess we’ll all have to tune in on Tuesday, June 5th at 9 p.m. on ABC Family in order to find out more!
