Stranger Danger - Urgent
learning by working through exercises on BBC
Bitesize and My Maths.
I need to inform parents that detectives from
East Surrey CID are working closely with local
officers from the Epsom and Ewell Safer Neighbourhood Team to investigate an alleged incident where a Rosebery student said she was
approached in Epsom. The incident occurred
shortly before 9am today, when the girl was
making her way to school along Dorking Road.
We called the Police immediately it was reported to us and investigations are under way.
Anyone who may be able to assist in this matter should contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference P13309277. Please talk to your
daughter about ‘stranger danger’. Information
on keeping safe can be found by visiting www.
surrey.police.uk.
As an alternative provision for parents on Thursday 17, the Education Team at Eagle Radio are
offering 20 students aged 13-19 the chance to
attend a Radio Experience Day at their offices
in Guildford, running from 8.30am to 3.30pm
at £50 per spot. On the day students will meet
members of the team, create radio adverts and
make podcasts to be hosted online discussing
PSHE issues and expressing their views on life
in Surrey in Hampshire. To discuss details or
book a spot, parents can contact Mark Watts on
01483 300964 - 96.4 Eagle Radio & Eagle Extra,
Dolphin House, North Street, Guildford GU1
4AA, www.964eagle.co.uk.
Open Events:
We are pleased to welcome visitors in the next
two weeks to our Open Events. Please see the
poster at the end of this news sheet for details.
Thank you in advance to the many students that
will be helping and acting as wonderful ambassadors for the school.
Home Study Days:
A reminder that students should work at home
on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 October owing to strike and Staff Training days. It is most
unfortunate that these days fall consecutively
but we had no control over the strike date and
had already made arrangements for the INSET
day that could not be changed. We expect the
girls to use the two days wisely to complete
homework and revise the work done so far this
term. In addition, they should consolidate their
