LONG-TAILED SKIPPER
These long-tailed skipper butterflies play a crucial role as pollinators , feeding on nectar from flowers . Their caterpillars are notorious for their voracious appetite for leguminous plants , often earning them the label of agricultural pests . To evade predators , the caterpillars roll themselves tightly within the leaves of their host plants , hiding during the day and emerging mostly at night to feed , giving them the name " bean leafrollers ."
