Romeo and Juliet May 2014 | Seite 2

Later in Verona...

Montague: Looketh at what we have done. My betrothed and offspring both perished. And you, Capulet, thy dearest daughter. Gone. Paris and Mercutio. Also gone. What shall thy do?

Lady Capulet: Thy blood tis on your child’s hands. For he killed Paris and caused my daughter to fall into such dark pits. For he brought death upon her.

Prince: You foolish persons. How blind thou be? For the quarrel of thy parents of the deceased caused such horrid actions. This mustn’t go on any longer!

Capulet: No this mustn’t continue any longer! For thy quarrel has killed thy loved ones. Come over. We shall grieve no longer, but celebrate thy reconciliation of thy families.

{Exit}

{At the Capulet Residence}

Capulet: Welcome my esteemed guests. Eat! Drink! For the night is young!

Montague: If only thou sweet Romeo and Juliet were here to bear witness to this happy occasion.

Friar: They see all from the clouds up above!

{Enter Cupid}

Cupid: For thou quarrel of the Montagues and Capulets ended the lives of many, I shall see to it that never will a single Capulet despise a Montague. Instead, each Montague will be betrothed to each Capulet. Thou shall be one big family, and live forever in happiness the families never had before. {Shoots arrow}
