CLASSES WITH MR. BOWMAN: American Government - Psychology
In American Government we have covered lots of ground. We started with the Constitutional era, which included material on the French
and Indian War, the American Revolution and the Constitutional Convention. We then covered the Legislative Branch and in the last few
weeks we have been analyzing the role of government from the standpoint of what level of government involvement is the most desirable as balanced against individual freedoms and responsibility.
In Psychology, we have focused on the history and founders of this field together with an building an understanding on three main "
schools " of Psychology. We have done research into specific areas of this study along with 5-6 case studies. Students should have
gained insight into how the brain functions and why humans behave the way they do. Treatment options for disorders have been covered as well.
In Government in the second semester we will cover the Executive Branch, The Judicial Branch and State government and the Criminal
Justice system.
