Tournament Action for Norsemen Wrestling & Basketball Teams
The Class 2A Sectional Wrestling Tournament will be held Saturday, February 8th at Story City. The
Norsemen girls’ basketball team begins 3A District Tournament play in Story City against East Marshall
on Saturday, February 15th. The Roland-Story Norsemen boys’ basketball team will begin District 4
tournament action on Monday, February 17th.

ROLAND-STORY NORSEMEN IN CLASS 2A
WRESTLING TOURNAMENT
The Roland-Story girls’ basketball team begins 3A Region 5
tournament play on Saturday, February 15th in Story City at
7:00 p.m. against East Marshall. The February 19th Regional
game will be played at Hampton-Dumont at 7:00 p.m. Regional play continues on February 22nd in Cedar Falls at 7:00
p.m. Admission for Regional games is $6.00 for all spectators.
The Girls State Tournament is March 3rd - 8th at Wells Fargo
Arena in Des Moines. Admission is $8.00. Check the Iowa
Girls High School Athletic Association website for complete
pairings and locations.
Roland-Story will be competing in
the Class 2A Sectional Wrestling
Tournament on Saturday, February
8th at Story City. Along with the
Norsemen will be Ballard, Gilbert,
Humboldt, Nevada and Webster
City. First round matches begin at 12
noon with the semifinals, finals, and
consolations to follow. Individual
champions and runners-up will advance to the district tournament to
be held on February 15th at Webster
City. The starting time for the
District Tournament is also noon. District champions and
runners-up will advance to the state wrestling tournament at
Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, February 19th thru the 22nd.
The Roland-Story boys’ basketball team begins District 4 tournament play on Monday, February 17th and continues the 20th.
General admission is $6.00. Check the Iowa High School Athletic Association website for details. Boys State Tournament
action is March 10th - March 15th in Des Moines.

The team champions and runner-up in the sectional tournament
will also qualify for the 2A Regional Dual Team meet held on
Wednesday, February 19th.
Admission prices for the tournaments are: Sectionals - $6.00;
