LEGEND: ‘The Fulton Crawler’
It’s been reported as a ‘low to ground’
creature (some say it’s an Alien) that can
stretch its head way up in the air, and
it prowls the lesser travelled roads of
Rockport, and especially Fulton, where
it’s been seen crossing roads near ponds
on moonless nights. It’s head has been
described as human-looking with a mouth
(with jagged teeth) that extends back to its
ears, like a Manticore.
LORE: A ‘Manticore’ from a
Medieval Beastiary.
COMMON SNAPPING TURTLE
(sp. Chelydra serpentina)
This could be a prime suspect, as the neck
on this Turtle is highly mobile and can
stretch further than what seems natural for
a Turtle.
LEGEND: ‘The Green House on Chaparral Street’
This legend goes back to the early 1980’s,
when a young couple and another relative
decided to investigate a small green house
on Chaparral Street in Fulton to see if it
might be for sale. It was the middle of the
day, and as soon as they stepped into the
yard, a water hose started moving like a
snake, and ‘something’ that was quicker
than the human eye could see kept circling
around them.
Haunted Fulton: There are other reported hauntings in the Fulton area,
especially on the streets of Chaparral,
Mesquite & Myrtle. One local resident
was quoted as saying, “Even the woods
are haunted.”
Then the husband was seen being thrown
up in a Live Oak Tree, (and this is where it
starts getting weird) and was transformed
into a furry, gorilla-looking man, according to the two witnesses present. Once
the husband had turned back to normal,
they all ran for their lives. Later that night
they returned, and the house was not there
- disappeared! Some believe that the
house was actually an Alien Spaceship.
To this day, residents of the area still report the ‘House’ that is sometimes there
and sometimes it’s not.
