Hoopes-Smith House - A Late Victorian, Queen Anne Home with Stained Glass Windows - built between 1890 & 1892 by a local business man, James M. Hoopes. (Who helped charter the First National Bank in 1890.) From 1894 to 1930, it was a Hotel. In 1934 it was purchased by T. Noah Smth, Sr. (A Ship Builder.) Bracht House - A Prairie-Style, TwoStory House - built between 1898 & 1902. It’s the once home of Adolph L. Bracht - our local Grocer. 91 Angel Rose Bed & Breakfast - Once the home of Leopold M. Bracht (a son of Viktor Bracht) - built in 1881 (by F. C. Finney) - a French Regency design. In 1889, the house was cut into three pieces and moved to Cornwall St. During the night of February 21, 2009, and upon the request of the Aransas County Historical Society, the Paranormal Research Institute of Texas conducted an investigation of the house and reported a high level of paranormal activity. It’s just plain Haunted!
