Meet K-9 Zeus, handler: Your 2025 Citizens of the Year
The distinction of 2025 Citizens of the Year and Rockin Rogers grand marshal goes to Rogers Police K-9 Zeus, accompanied by his handler, Sergeant Matt Nelson. Zeus is retiring from the Rogers Police Department after eight years of service. Read more in the June 19 edition of Crow River News. The award is presented during the annual Rockin Rogers
Days festival, and the honoree is invited to serve as grand marshal of the Rockin Rogers Days parade. Initiated in 1977, the Citizen of the Year is selected annually by the Rogers Lions Club Board of Directors. The award honors a Rogers resident who exemplifies community spirit and involvement. K-9 Zeus is a part of a long list of celebrated community members.
