MerreLL Mountain Bike traiL One of Michigan ’ s newest and most highly rated mountain bike trails , the Merrell Trail was built with the funding and volunteer support of Wolverine World Wide . This unique 6-mile multi-use trail system is open to cyclists , runners and hikers with a range of trail loops and routes with various levels of difficulty . All of the trails are one-way , alternating each day of the week . Follow the yellow arrows on Tuesday , Thursday and Saturdays , and the red arrows on Monday , Wednesday , Friday and Sunday . You ’ ll discover fast rolling downhills , long climbs , boulder rollovers . berms , bridges and plenty of jumps . Much of the trail is built through old growth forest where you will see magnificant giant beech , oak and maple trees as you travel through large ravines , marshes and huge side slopes .

Luton ParkMountain Bike traiLs Located just east of Rockford , Luton County Park is also one of the top-rated mountain biking trails in Michigan . As a multi-use trail system , it is open to hikers , bikers and trail runners alike .
Accessible from a new staging area on Kies Street , it boasts more than 9 miles of trails with one main loop connecting five individual loops . Each loop is designed for a different level of ability , with flatter beginner trails ( blue , Green ) and tighter , steeper advanced trails ( Yellow , Orange , Red , black ) that include logs and rock gardens . The trail system travels through woodlands , marshes and meadows , and crosses Rum Creek .
