MEET THE CAST
EMILY ASH ENSEMBLE / CO-DANCE CAPTAIN Emily is so excited to be a part of her second production with TCR . She was last seen on the TCR stage in Mamma Mia !. She would like to thank all of the lovely people involved in bringing Rock of Ages to life , as well as her family for their unwavering love and support .
CALVIN BOMAN JA ’ KEITH / ENSEMBLE Calvin was born on the west end of a wild mustache ride . Since then he ’ s taken quite fondly to theatre . Obviously , he writes a non-negotiable “ stache ” clause into every contract . In it , he insists his mustache is “ totally retro ” and “ epic .” You might recognize him from his portrayal of Sky in TCR ’ s Mamma Mia ! You might * not * recognize him from his portrayal of Haute Topic ( the green angel ) in TCR ’ s Kinky Boots ! He asks that nobody questions why he didn ’ t have a mustache in either of those shows ( he becomes immediately hostile ). His most recent plunge into earlobe deep sideburns , has inspired him to begin drafting a general , non-negotiable “ retro-facial-hair-vibe ” clause .
WOLFGANG AMADEUS BORCHARDT DREW BOLEY Amadeus returned to the stage for the first time since high school earlier this year , when he appeared as Ensemble in TCR ’ s productions of Cabaret and The Spongebob Musical . Now his third show on the TCR stage , Amadeus is incredibly grateful and excited to take on a lead role in Rock of Ages . Amadeus would like to thank the staff and volunteers at TCR for their continued trust and support , his family for cheering in the seats , and a special shoutout to his high school and theater friend Shay , who originally encouraged him to audition for Cabaret and is sharing the stage with him for the first time since their days at Kennedy . Amadeus looks forward to more opportunities at TCR in the future and being a part of an amazing theater community .
TIM BOYLE HERTZ KLEINNMAN In the summer of 1966 , I turned 11 . My mom died and I discovered Top 40 radio . Now , 57 summers later , people continue to tell me , literally and metaphorically , to turn down that damn music . Maybe someday , but tonight we rock .
ADAM BUHRNAM LONNY BARNETT The progeny of the drummer for a Top 40 rock band from the late 80s / 90s , Adam developed a high tolerance for the bar-hopping , head banging , sex-crazed rock crowd at the age of five . An established drummer and stratospheric siren in his own right , acting credits include Judas ( Jesus Christ Superstar ), Benjamin Coffin III ( Rent ), Patsy ( Spamalot ), Nicky ( Avenue Q ), and Lord Farquaad ( Shrek the Musical ). An avid runner , recently finishing the DAM to DSM Half Marathon , he aims to conquer the Quad Cities Marathon in September . “ Many thanks to my huge , supportive family , rocking awesome friends , veterans , teachers , my musically gifted brothers for keeping me humble , my sister Sarah for introducing me to most of these songs , and to Lisa and Leia for belting them out with me on our memorable road trips across the country !” # tatertough # kaydencerein # ronscoins
