And then came what perhaps was the biggest surprise of the night, lights out again and we could hear the prerecorded chords on acoustic guitar of "Battery", the stadium just exploded again, the song was enjoyed with an absolute intensity.

Kirk Hammett stayed alone for a moment upon the stage, and played his solo introduction to one of the most beautiful ballads that I personally have ever heard: "Nothing Else Matters", which to my surprise, was sung almost entirely by the whole stadium.

And the show ended with "Enter Sandman" also sung in a loud voice for all, then the shouts of "Ole, Ole, Ole, Metallica..." that the band really seemed to enjoy and was heard in several parts of the show and that rumbled across the stadium. Then they came back to the stage for the encore, which began with "Am I Evil" a cover of Diamond Head which has an incredible introduction majestically played by Kirk Hammett, then they continued with "Blackened".

And the show ended as expected with "Seek and Destroy" in the middle of the general din and ecstasy, with James without his guitar and greeting all the audience, they left giving guitar picks and drum sticks in the middle of the general cheer.

I can say in conclusion that the show was great, and I think the band took the best impression of Peru and its dedicated audience with them. On the other hand, I have to comment on some additional things: the band also gave up himself entirely, you could tell they were enjoying to play for us, the setlist was the best.

Maybe we just missed "The Day That Never Comes", but all songs were enjoyed, some more intensely than others, but enjoyed all at the end, the public responded as it should, the stage was magnificent: 3 screens, one of them was a giant one at the bottom of the stage, good lights, fireworks and tongues of fire, the only thing I didn’t like so much was the sound, I think the bass was very loud and distorted the sound of guitars.

Finally, I can say that the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo, Metallica, played in Lima, left an image which can hardly be forgotten.
