Day two: Heat and a surprise The keyword for today is hydrating; an enormous heat falls over Wacken; however, losing many of the bands that will be presented today is out of the question. Our first choice was seeing Tristania. We got a bit closer to the “True Metal Stage” in order to enjoy the last moments of shadows in the big stage. The “backdrop” seemed to be small, but I must say that it was a great scene. Anyway, I don’t have many good memories from that show. I was happy for seeing the Swedish, but the sound was kind of distorted in this occasion. This is not something usual in Wacken, but the sound was far from being perfect, the basses overpowered the voices, including Mariangela’s voice. It gave me the impression of being a “messy” show. Anyway, the audience, in great number even though it was an early hour, showed to the group the interest they had in them. I’m not going to say nothing more, this deception was still a good
