with this Wacken starts in a beautiful way. They played “Alison
Hell” obviously, from their first album “Alice in Hell”, this song
became quickly the anthem of this group. It’s a great pleasure
listen to it live.
Later, at the beginning of the night, another legendary group
approaches to the “Black Stage”. They are no more nor less
than… Deep Purple! I never imagined that I would have the
chance of seeing those living myths in stage! I’m not going to
lie, are not such a fan of their music, but seeing legends as this
band can’t not leave you indifferent. Without this group, many
musicians would not have emerged, many groups would not
have been influenced and many generations of musicians could
not have invented today’s music, which will be the influence
of tomorrow. More than happiness, is the respect which
dominates this moment. Not being a fan, does not negate me
anything, after the immense sound of “Smoke on the Water”
