at the beginning . With a full change King of All Kings makes its apparition , a song with a more jovial and melodic rhythm , but without losing the “ heaviness ” of a good classic heavy metal , with those good guitar solos which keep that flavor .
We find again another outstanding change with Turning To Stone , which is a beautiful simple ballad , well musicalized and full of feeling which goes in crescendo as the song goes on to end in one of the great guitar ’ s solos and the interpretation of Rhino . And to finish , Bullet appears suddenly , with a fulminant start we have another example of good Heavy Metal , full of power , a powerful rhythmic base , riffs full of energy and a very catchy verse .
Thundergod is a nice disc that let us taste the intense sound from the end of the last century with actual touches , without fuss or paraphernalia , just music , as Rhino says , made with heart .
“ This record is a real labour of love . It is epic and memorable . I don ’ t like to write the standard macho metal songs . People may or may not be surprised that there are songs written from the heart . I never compromise my art . Also , there is no quantizing , no triggers , this album is 100 % organic . Melody , emotion and energy … this is the focal point of all of our songs . I like my lyrics to be more about fantasy , real life experiences and historic events rather than going too dark and sinister . Although , you might find a shadow here and there . The song ‘ Thundergod ’ is dedicated to my friend Scott Columbus . May you keep your hammer high !”
