Therion
Canta y no llores
Rocío Echávarri (Deuzzy) / Traslated By Lilith Absynthe
The night of May 31st was special, Therion was performing again
in Mexico City, within the framework of their Evil Flowers Opera
Tour; and I say it was special since Lori Lewis was ending her period
with Therion and Circo Volador was the venue where she would say
goodbye to the audience that loyally followed her for so many years.
Despite a technical issue that delayed the event, this was carried
through in a spectacular way, worthy of a band such as Therion. The fans
forgot the inconvenience caused by the delay and the rain, and they
devoted their body and soul to them in a completely full Circo Volador.
The setlist included known songs such as Rise of Sodom and
Gomorrah, Flesh of the Gods, Ginnungagap o Eye of Shiva, also tracks
from their last production Les Fleurs du Mal, in addition of some
extracts from the Rock Opera in which Christopher is working in and
aroused curiosity for listening this whole composition.
The most emotional moment in this sensational night, which took
almost everybody by surprise, not even Lori expected it. Close
to halfway concert a group of mariachis made an appearance
performing Son de la Negra and following up with Cielito Lindo, which
was dedicated to Lori, while thousands of mexicans sang at the top
