Unchain Utopia presents itself with a soft intro in charge of the chorus and the orchestra, then we can listen to the drums and the keyboard who will imprint more vigor and vehemence to this song, however, it will remain in a middle rhythm which gives it a more dramatic and sentimental touch compared to the previous ones. This song also has the chorus as a protagonist while Simone makes a wonderful interpretation before the ending. The Fifth Guardian (Interlude). This song takes elements from the Oriental music (China). This instrumental song decelerates the tendency that we have had in the first half of the disc. A beautiful interlude that takes us immediately to Chemical Insomnia, dissipating completely the previous calmness and finding again the characteristic sound of this disc, wonderful orchestral moments and the vast experience of Simone, in one of her best moments. Without reaching an explosion as in the first songs of the disc but with a demolishing ending, I have no doubt in qualifying this as one of the best songs in The Quantum Enigma. Reverence (Living in the Heart): Now we find a very strong song in which Simone and the chorus share the main role. The rhythm in this song is a constant middle tempo and it remains that way until its second half in which we will find a variation initiated by the chorus and the orchestra to be then emphasized by the short and aggressive guitar and keyboard solos, and then return to the initial metric after that. Omen (The Ghoulish Malady), the piano’s sound together with the chord’s instruments transmit us a calm sensation, but this lasts for just a moment, then the orchestra enters with a sudden change and this 8
