signature of 4/4, a song, when they hug me or when older students
follow my projects and support me. I’ve got to say that teaching let
me learn many things. I always try to improve myself. A part from
my brother, it’s a pleasure to see the improvement of my students
drumming skills… I wish them all the best and a life full of music!
• Simon, it’s your turn. We know that very early you had fascination for the
music, tell us what it was that caught your attention and what have been
your influences besides your brother.
Yes it’s true, my love for music is born very early, even before I formed
in the womb. We can say that when I was two years old my favourite
cartoons were not the same of other kids. I liked Dream Theater’s VHS,
Mike Portnoy’s Vhs, Rush Vhs and so on. So even the music I listened
to was different from what other guys of my age liked. I spent all my
childhood on bed to listened to the music with my brother.
As you have already understood, a part from my brother, one of the
most important influence in my life has been Mike Portnoy, and he is
still important to me. I loved to see his concerts, I admired his style in
plying drum and what he created during his performances. I believe
that if today I play drum I owe it to them.
