The album starts with the title track, Arcanum Gloriae, in it we can listen
to a narrative as an introduction, plagued with choirs and orchestral
sounds that lead us to the bottom in this sound adventure. After this
brief track we continue in this musical adventure with Holy Knights
which starts with the soft acoustic guitar tune that suddenly changes to
take us into a song rich in heroic sounds, powerful orchestrations and
completely epic choirs. This is when the singer makes his appearance
in an impeccable performance. While the rest of the band shows a huge
display in rhythm and power, melodic and heavy riffs, before coming back
to the sound we listened to in the beginning. This song is short and leave
us hungry and wishing for listening more.
And boy, do Astral Domine honour their promises with King of North,
that could be a reference (as the cover art) to the famous TV series
Game of Thrones, the beginning is clearly classic, the harpsichord and
the orchestra take the listener to the Middle Age for a couple of second,
before the band burst in a musical power outburst. This song is tamer
than the last one but it is full of great sounds as the long and melodic
guitar and keyboard solo, and the wonderful performance from Marco
and a chorus that delight our ears.
