Finally, Arcanum (Da Vinci’s Enigma) begins, a song totally interpreted in Italian, including a fantastic operatic style in some fragments, for me the best of the album. Orchestra and choirs add the epic touch in a sonorous burst to close this album. The bonus track is a beautiful cover to Josh Groban’s song Oceano. It has no waste. The album in general is the fruit of a work very well done, impeccably produced, and that has also taken care of the shining of the voice of Lione with a spectacular result. The first experience of Luca and Fabio outside of Rhapsody of Fire, has been somewhat impressive, in itself on this album is experimental with different sounds (some already tested) along with influences and tastes of the composers. The result could be described in many ways, from epic to exuberant, and perhaps even exaggerated. For me it was a strange process; I liked it, I was saturated, I liked it again; perhaps a process that many will also experience. Perhaps the most disappointing part of this work is not seeing or hearing choirs and orchestra on stage in live performances and having to settle for the recordings. 16
